Tai chi push hands is a two person exercise in which both participants try to knock over their opponent using little to no physical effort.
In addition to helping conditions like chronic stress, anxiety, anger, high blood pressure, balance issues, joint/neck stiffness, chronic pain and obesity, push hands is a fun social game which can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.
Ways of describing Push Hands to the youths:
“It’s like Super Smash Bro’s, but in real life.”
“It’s sort of like you’re a Jedi, but Chinese.”
“Imagine the joys of doing yoga and punching someone in the groin at the same time.”
